Many times we wonder what "Easter" means why do christians all over the world celebrate Easter.

Easter is the celebration of the death and crucifixion of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary to redeem man from eternal condemnation as seen in Isaiah 26:19, mark 16:1-9 ,9:9 John 6:40-44. 

 It was prophecied that Jesus will be betrayed by someone close to him ,psalm 41:9, who happened to be one of his disciple Judas Iscariot. Judas Iscariot sold Jesus for 30 pieces of silver.

It was also prophecied in the bible that he will die and on the third day rise again which came in to fulfilment in the new testament mark 9:9 and mark 16:1-4.

What does the resurrection of Jesus mean? 

It means that the plan of God to restore the relationship between him and man has been restored ,it means we can go to God directly to pray Abba father,it has given man the opportunity to be called a son and the heritage to be co heir to the kingdom of God, and while on Earth to dominate both the physical and spiritual realm as seen in Acts 1:18.

      Now you ma be wondering how can I be a partaker of this wonderful treasure. Well John 3:16 says for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have Everlasting life.

Also Romans 8:28-31 gave us more light on this ,All you need is to give your life to Jesus,believe that Jesus died for you,and have taken away your sins ,have faith in God and in the lordship of Jesus and follow him with faith.
